Eliptical trainer or Nordic Track

A long time ago I had a basic Nordic Track and from what I've learned I just might be the only only that bought one that actually used it. Wore it out over 5 years. Long gone…

And yes, I'm kidding, many folks use theirs..I hope.

I'd like to find another basic unit, don't care about a fancy monitor or counter…just start and stop works.

If I can't find I'm thinking eliptical trainer….needs to be for a big guy…6' and 260

I really like the Arc Trainer, but I think they are more expensive for home use.

I prefer the arc-trainer at the gym too. I do see a lot of people using the ellipticals at the gym. I had one, but for me I had problems, b/c I am 5'3 and just too short to use it comfortably. I have a nordic track recumbent bike that used ALL of the time before I joined a gym. It was a little pricey, but it can be a good cardio workout.

It's a type of elliptical that feels more like a stair stepper. I just started using one a few weeks ago. My first time, I could barely get 7 minutes (low speed, low resistance). Today, I went for 20 minutes with no significant burn or muscle fatigue. Once I build up to 30-40 minutes, I'll start adding resistance. I love it.
