On the Clare Balding show just now, talking overall about body image, but also how even young female athletes are so concerned about how their body is perceived as "feminine" or "attractive" to the media circus that they train very, very hard and don't adequately re-fuel their bodies.
It seems like this pattern of starving yourself thin has gained more traction over the years, even amongst women who train and should have access to resources that teach them better.
Does this make anyone else sad? does it sound about right to you? do women (or even men) you train with still continually undereat to achieve their goals?
