Have cleaned carrot sticks and celery sitting in the fridge. you just need to be munching on something to take your mind off the stress.
Let me tell you I can relate to your situation. I took care of my mom who had alzheimers until she died. If you haven't been the caretaker of an Alzheimers patient you can't even begin to relate. First I have a suggestion. Get yourself 2 books and read them. The Thirty Six Hour Day and Elder Rage (Take My Father Please) These two books will help you get through this adventure you have just undertaken. Believe me you will not regret what you are doing for your grandmother. It however isn't going to be easy. Start lining up a couple of people who can give you some relief when you need to get away for a few hours and believe me you are going to need it from time to time. Feel free to friend me and I will do my best to help you through this.
After you answer these questions, and you want to eat for emotional reasons - how do you stop the urge to binge or get rid of the thoughts?
