New to low carb diet question....

I started low carb last week and so far have lost 8.6 pounds, but today I went over my carbs first time (I've been trying to keep them as low as possible, but definitely under 75g then I was planning on gradually lowering to under 30g) I ended up with almost 150!! The really bad thing is it wasn't even a good slip up lol I just didn't think about how many carbs where in beans I was just trying to get somee extra fiber lol How much of a set back is it I'm terrified I'm going to weigh myself tm and have gained it all back :( If it does come back how many days will it stay after I go back to under 75g

I'm still right at netting 1200 calories total intake was just over 1600 and ran on the elliptical for an hour.

You didn't gain because you ate at a caloric deficit.

Edit: also, you're never going to gain 8lbs in a day because you went over carbs, or calories.

Gaining/losing weight is all about a caloric deficit. Eating more protein and fat can help because you feel full longer. Fibers are also very good for keeping you full. There is nothing particularly bad about carbs. Just get a healthy balance of everything. Carbs, and especially the carbs with fibers are part of that.
