Have you planned a small group cruise before?

Have you? There is a small group of 8 or 10 couples wanting to take a 7-8 day cruise! Not one of us has cruised before and they have sorta appointed me to find one at the lowest cost! I was told Carnival was one of the best. Wanting a southern carribean cruise in the end of Jan or first of Feb. Please personal message me if you have or can put me through to an awesome agent!!! I have never booked a cruise with a group, but I am going on a 7 day Carnival cruise early next year to the western caribbean with my daughters! It came highly recommended by a few of my friends and seems to be the most reasonably priced, family friendly cruise line! I booked my cruise on the carnival website directly and didn't go through an agent. I checked around and all of the quotes I received were identical to Carnival's prices listed directly on their website. Good luck!

I went on a Norwegian Cruise Line's cruise to the West Caribbean, booked through a travel agent. We got a fantastic rate ($450 per person for the cruise itself) since we had 4 people to a room. But definitely try a local travel agent. They can get group rates for you. I really loved Norwegian, it had tons of places to eat and drink, a casino, and a really nice relaxing atmosphere. I was on Spring Break, but I saw lots of couples and families.

I never have, and likely never will as I have a phobia of deep water without being able to see land. However, my parents have gone on several and absolutely love love love it! They've taken one to Alaska, and the Caribbean which initiated in Puerto Rico and went down to the Panama Canal, and up towards Mexico in Acapulco...where they then flew back. I'll try to get some info from them to pass it on...

I'm no expert, going on first cruise Mar 2011. Can't wait! But a friend of mine who cruises all the time helped us and is coming with us on this cruise. We used vacationstogo.com to check "find a bargain". The travel company we are using is Crucon, our agent Beth. BethG@crucon.com hope this helps. Have a great time. :drinker:

Crucon is great. We've used Johna several times for our groups... she even came WITH us once :drinker: :laugh:

Sometimes the cruise lines directly offer a slightly better rate than an agency for smaller groups... so don't forget to price them direct too!
