You lose weight by eating at a deficit. Period. It doesn't matter what you eat so much as how much you eat. And you can't know if you're eating at a deficit w/o counting calories. It's a pain, but it works. (Like flossing.)

Someone would have to stick with fresh meats, vegetables, fruits. very little to no processed foods. That's what i am doing now. I like to eat. I find this method fills me up and i can eat more than i could if i purchased processed foods, chips, snacks. I just omit those thing out and when i have a craving for them i will go and get it and only eat a serving of it. This is far from the easy way out. I still have to cook everyday, every meal. To make that easier i plan ahead, use the crockpot or cook meat in the oven while i am at exercise, cook extra meat for multiple meals. When i do sit down to a meal i will measure my food and enter it into my food journal. Most of the time i'm not hungry, but if i still need a little extra i will be able to see how far i can push it without going over my limits.limit oil in food, if you do use it, measure it according to the one serving on the label. This is my plan, and it has been working for me. Btw i never eat a rice cake or any diet food or fat free food. i just eat clean, fresh food.0

Now, of course, you can probably snack on celery all day without issues but for the most part...if you don't count your vegetables in your daily calorie count, you could be killing the deficit you think you created. 3oz of baby carrots is like 35 calories. Eat the whole bag, now it's 100 calories you ate. 100 calories of veggies is good for you...but if you don't count it, you're going over your goal.0
