weight of food before and after cooking

my mum is doing a roast and i have looked at the chicken and it says on the pack calories when oven baked and this is a probblem because i cant weight out the food when she serves it up and i can only work out form looking at the pack the how many calories in the chicken per 100g when raw (long story) so i need to know how much the chicken will change in weight when cooked please help!!

you can't tell, depends on a lot of factors in the cooking process, mostly how much water and fat it loses.
If the pack says calories when oven baked, I would go by that, just weigh it after it is baked, once portioned out. Or just find a USDA listing of baked chicken meat.

100g of raw weighs the same as 100g of cooked. The difference is what the 100g contains. Meat is usually more calorie dense once cooked, since a part of it's water content is taken out during cooking. Did you look at the link I googled for you? It gives you calories for roasted chicken.0

yea but google sends me mad with all the info and links i just dont know were to start and when i do everything has to be a bundle of mixed answers ( google is confusing ) thats why i didnt use it in the first place and that's probably why everyone on here starts a form instead of going on google
