Adding Frequently Eaten Foods?

I just joined My Fitness Pal yesterday and can't for the life of me figure out how to add frequently eaten foods to my favorites. Would love some pointers!

The add automatically after you've entered them in your diary, then closed your diary for the day. You should see them in the list next time. They will only appear under the meal you entered them. For instance, you have eggs for breakfast every morning. When you go to add foods to the diary the next day, your breakfast list will show eggs, but your lunch list will not.0
