I'm just about to start week 3 of P90X3. I'm 41 and figured it might be nice to have a thread for 40 & over people completing the program. So far I LOVE P90X3 and can't wait for results.

A little about me:
-I started using home workout programs in March 2013.
-I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia 8 years ago and have been symptom free since I started my fitness/nutrition program
-I've lost over 30 pounds and feel YOUNG! Who knew that was possible?
-I'm very active and live in Colorado. I've summitted 2 13,000 foot mountains and love to hike, snowshoe, and just be outdoors.
-I'm vegan
-I've committed to sticking with the X3 meal plan for the entire program, including no alcohol

I think that's about it. I hope there are other 40+ people out there looking for support while doing the program.

HI. I am 50+ and looking to lose some lbs and eat healthy but so scare to eat more than 1250 calories a day since I seem to gain right away even when exercising. So I've cut back on both intake and exercise and slowly building up again to see what really works for me. Thanks for sharing your motivational story and for any tip I can learn from here.

    Welcome!

It's important to make sure you're getting ENOUGH calories too. Eating too few can be just as detrimental as eating too many. It's just about eating the right foods. Sounds like you're eating healthy already. What exercise have you been doing?
