Raw veggies.

I was on my binge mode and could(can) eat cups and cups of chocolate chips.
But instead, I ate LOTS AND LOTS of raw veggies.
I did research about this, most of the sources say that as long as thru are not like potatoes or corn, it wouldn't hurt me.
I still need other people's opinions. Is stuffing my face with veggies like tomatoes, carrots, celery , cucumbers etc. ok?

If they fit into your numbers why not? But how is your diet in other areas? If you are eating well balanced I don't see a problem with it. When I work nights I take a bag with about 4 cups of raw veg and it's less calories than what I would have before which was junk0

they have calories. they arent just antimatter. they are a good way to stay full without exceeding your goal... i wouldnt get anal about weighing them and logging perfectly... guesstimate0

I would say that stuffing your face full of vegetables is great. Yes they will have some calories, but those vegetables are extremely low in calories. Plus they are good for you. You should probably go ahead and log it, but unlike chocolate chips it will take a absolute ton for you to majorly go over your calorie limit. (assuming you have a couple of moderate meals in with your vegetables lol... If you just eat vegetables all day I think you would have a hard time HITTING your calorie limit.)0

Even though you're eating veggies which is a lot better to binge on then chocolate chips... have you ever thought about why you're binging? If you don't try to change your relationship to food along with your diet.. what's going to stop you from going back to binging on unhealthy foods? If you're hungry and like to eat veggies.. go for it. But if you're eating even though you're not hungry or if you're binge-eating so many veggies you don't have room for protein (since the veggies you mentioned are low in protein) I would maybe reconsider your relationship with food itself. Anyway, just something to think about, but good on you for changing what you're binging on because you can eat a lot more veggies for less calories than you can chocolate chips so it should help you keep at/under your daily calorie goal!0

i eat alot of vegetables, but i don't binge on them.. i think the deeper issue for me would be the binging.. not the vegetables.
whether its choc chips or vegetables binging is still a emotional response. I am glad you ate veg instead of choc, but
a good resource if you would like to read is the beck diet solution.. it helped me with emotional eating. its not a diet. she just shows you how to have a different relationship with food.
not judging.. just have been where you are with emotional eating and a friend turned m on to that book. i now look at foods to fuel and nourish my body not comfort it
