I am starting to eat healthier, but it's really hard to just "jump right in" when you've been eating junk for all of your life. I hate when diets call for things like tofu and beans, because it is jut not realistic for someone who is not use to eating healthy. You have to build up to that.

So that being said, does anyone have recipes like chicken, pasta, smoothies, ect that are really good, healthy, and cheap to make? Thanks!

You should start by thinking what you like to eat now, and then find similar recipes....

I made this the other night.....very good, and chicken thighs are pretty cheap....

A weekly easy dinner for two at our house -- very cheap. Serve with brown rice. Yummy and pretty healthy! :)

I'm going to recommend my favorite cookbook right now. Ten Dollar Dinners. Healthy, yummy, and lots of money saving tips and ways to use things up quickly. I'm completely in love with that book right now. Totally worth the $10 I spent on it.

Beans. Black and Pinto. Buy them dry in bulk. Look up "feijoada" and "feijao paulista" recipes online. We do them in a slow cooker so they take very little prep or work to make. It makes a ton, and they are so delicious that I never get tired of eating them.
