I really need to loose weight but I am having a really hard time being motivated. So I would love to hear everyones success stories. I have struggled with being over weight most of my life. I was a really bad emotional eater and it started from a young age after my dad left. At 16 I got into great shape and lost a lot of weight (about 30lbs) I was only 15 lbs away from my goal weight. I ended had to be put on birth controle because of a hormone imbalance. The birth controle made me gain over 100lbs in less than 6 months (while eating healthy and working out daily) and I have not lost the weight yet. I am now 22 and just had my first baby in november. My pregnancy went well and I have a beautiful baby boy. I would really like to loose some weight and get in better shape before I get pregnant again though. My ultimate goal is to loose about 130lbs but I want to loose at least 50lbs before I get pregnant again. I know if I can get myself started and stick to it for a month i'll see the results and it'll give me motivation to stick with it. Just getting started is the hard part. So I would love to hear your stories:)

Motivation comes and goes and I try not to rely on it too much. I does give me an occasional boost in spirit but I tend to rely on routine and habit. Turn the good things into habits you don't even give much thought to doing. I started small by just logging what I ate without paying too much attention to the calories at first (just getting it all down). Then after about a week I was able to look back and see what I was doing right and wrong and starting making the small changes and making them stick.0

Baby steps.......I made a new year's resolution to eat more vegetables. Even though I like vegetables, I would go a day or 2 without eating any. Veggies low calorie & high fiber....perfect for calorie reduction.
Next, I focused on moving more. I had a small weekly exercise goal. I would log minutes in a spreadsheet.
Eventually I broke down & started logging. Get a couple of good habits started and you're on your way. What Lizzy said......motivation comes & goes. Try not to beat yourself up every time you slip up.....we all slip up. You just need to get back up & continue the fight.0
