Intermittent Fasting...Anyone else?

I came across fasting years ago, but intermittent fasting and the idea of fasting as a lifestyle hit home with me. I already regularly skip breakfast or dinner, so the transition wasn't so hard.

Basic intro: Intermittent fasting (IF) is a way of eating that focuses more on when you eat instead of what (healthier choices always suggested). Either IF'ers choose a day or two a week where they completely abstain from food, only water and black coffee or tea, or they restrict their eating to a specific time window each day, and fast the remaining hours. A third compromise method for beginners is to simply reduce calories two days a week instead of a full fast, to 1/4 of your daily recommended caloric intake.

The second way is what I have chosen, although I did the first option several times. I eat between Noon and 8pm everyday, and only water before and after. Only rarely does this leave me hungry, and I certainly have been sleeping better. I have also noticed some of my stomach troubles have subsided. Since everything you eat takes 6-8 hours to digest, eating this way gives my body time to properly digest the food I have eaten, and then to start burning off stored fat for the rest of the time.

I have yet to see an actual number loss, as it has only been two weeks, but man do I feel so much better and less bloated. I am definitely looking forward to this as a lifestyle choice, as it just fits in so perfectly to my current eating style. And it allows me to either space out my calories or scoot them for a bigger restaurant dinner, without feeling like I have severely sacrificed all day for it.

Anyone interested, I suggest you look into Intermittent Fasting, the studies are showing incredible health benefits of eating this way. And before anyone posts anything on "Starvation Mode" please do your research. :) It's such a beautifully twisted myth, lol.
