question about set workout plans (t25, p90x, etc...)

i know they are set up to give the best results. i was wondering though, can you do whatever workout you want, any day you want, and still get some results? i feel silly asking because any workout is a workout imo, but im just curious. has anyone tried this? like i love the cardio exercises, and i would love to just do those on days that my legs are more sore (instead of lower focus in t25) for example. :) thanks in advance. :flowerforyou:

I'm sure you heard this many times, but whatever the workout, diet is 80%.

Your diet has to adjust based on what type of workouts you choose.

Since you enjoy cardio, you will need more complex carbs to keep your energy level in tack.

A person who enjoys heavy lifting and 0 cardio will need a higher protein intake and less complex carbs than a 'runner', for example.
