I have been trying to up my protein because i a doing crossfit 3x a week - increasing weights too.
If i do guided at 3 workouts, it seems i am way over on my protien.

How much does one need for protein if there is alot of lifting involved?
I weigh 128 and i am trying to drop 10 for definition.

1g/lb bodyweight is good to aim for if you are doing resistance training like crossfit.

is 40% carb 40 % protein and 20% fat sounding right?
mfp adjusts all the ratios when you change one...
    so confused

I would set your protein at 30% max, any higher over a prolonged period can have adverse health effects. You can go higher but should not for the long term (a few weeks would not cause any issues). If your caloric intake is say 1500 cals/day that would be 500 calories from protein which would equate to 100 grams.
  • Up to 1 gram of protein for each pound of body weight is recommended to build/maintain muscle mass.
