I'm an 18 year old girl, 121lb, 5ft3. I'd like to lose a bit more weight but ideally want to get stronger so alongside running, I've started lifting weights three times a week.
I've used IIFYM which has suggested 1615 calories a day with 173 grams of carbs, 48 grams of fat and 121 grams of protein in order to stay at a deficit.
My protein goal seems very high and I'm struggling to hit it, normally eating about 40 grams a day (maximum of 60 grams). As a student at boarding school I don't have complete control over my meals and am not allowed to cook for myself.
Is my protein goal too high or am I just not eating enough? I have a problem with binging but feel that eating more protein might help with this? Are there any sources of protein you would recommend that don't require cooking/preparation?
