Feeling frustrated! Would love some advice!

26 days of no wine or alcohol (gave it up for January... before this, I would easily consume 2-3 glasses per night, every night) and keeping my calories at no more than 1200 per day. I started Zumba in December, and go between 2-3 days per week and each class is at least an hour (though I show it as a bit less than an hour on MFP, as I don't know how accurate their calorie estimate is). This past week I took 4 classes.
My current weight is hovering around 137 (I'm 5'3, 36 years old) but the scale is barely moving. 2 1/2 lbs lost over 25 days is just frustrating. I have dieted before, done WW years ago... but have not followed or been as dedicated to a program in years. I thought for sure I would have been down at least 5 lbs by now... I don't have a lot of extra time in my schedule to work out any more than I am... Any advice? Should I do WW again instead of counting calories? I did really well on it, but I hated keeping track of points. MFP seems easier, and I like seeing how many calories that I've eaten. I'd love to hear other stories of women who had similar issues. Please tell me what worked for you?
Thank you!

If MFP is easier then I would stick with it. Also considering you don't have a large amount to lose, the rate of weight loss may be a little slower than someone with a lot more to lose. A lot of people are going to also hammer home the importance of accuracy in what you are tracking, and it's true. Things like a food scale can be very helpful.
Stay the course, the body is going to lose at its own rate, not our own, unfortunately. I had wanted to reach my goal last November but didn't reach it until this month.0 -
I think your weight loss is slowing because you are getting so close to goal / caloric equilibrium . I am about the same as your height and weight and the smaller I became, the slower the weight came off. You are losing about a half pound a week which is actually a nice rate. It can be frustrating sometimes, but this is the time to learn new habits that you can live with forever. It helped me to remember that time is not an issue since this new plan is for the rest of my life. Getting healthier and fitter will never end, there is no end point. Good luck! :flowerforyou:0

Wait, you lost 2.5 lbs. in 25 days & you're complaining?! You're doing great! The closer you are to goal, the more slowly you lose. With only 11 lb. to go, your goal needs to be set no higher than .5 lb. per week.

You should be netting 1200 with exercise. You should be eating some of those exercise calories back. Read the sexypants link and reevaluate your calories since you are so close to goal. Good luck.0 -
If you don't have a digital scale I would suggest investing in one. I love mine0

You are also consuming pretty low calories, your body does adjust to this and it will slow your metabolism down a bit. Try alternating days (or every 2 days) with 1200 and then 1600 maybe. It may seem counter productive but it could trick your body into revving up your metabolism. Just an idea, not necessarily gospel.0
