I have been working out consistently for probably about a year. My favorite machine at the gym has to be the elliptical. Anyways, I was just wondering if anyone knew how accurate the calorie count on those machines are? I did it today for an hour and a half on the interval setting and it said I burnt 700 calories...

Hey,
My fav is the elliptical as well. I was on for an hour myself today! I love the interval setting. I am up to level 18 now!
I actually read an article recently that gave me an idea of how to figure out the calories. One thing is, when it asks you to enter weight, enter a weight several pounds lower than you are and whatever the number given, deduct 10%...and that should give you fairly accurate reading.
For example, I am 193 lbs right now, I entered in 190...and the final reading was about 850 calories burned. I actually just brought it down to 700 to be safe. It's probably on the low side, but I would rather be low than higher.
Hope that helps!0
