Hey recently join oh about a month ago doing great getting on the bandwagon.. BOOM the lazy girl inside of me who wants chocolate and says "exercise is hard" kicked in... so now I feel completely horrible and doesn't know where to start... ok weight loss past attempts that worked but then yeah didn't...

count calories
modified Atkins
jar barfing (high school)

So knowing not to go down those roads especially what I picked up in high school I am looking for another way... I thought about walking again when it cools down in the evening. I purchased Zumba but no where to dance in a small apartment w/o moving furniture.... curves??? seriously thinking about that?

Its hard for me to do videos at my small place too, I am able to do yoga and a few of the Biggest Loser DVD's with my small amount of space. I did Curves for awhile but I did not feel like I was getting a good workout and it was pricey! I ended up joining 24 Hour Fitness. At first I was freaked out being the fluffy girl who walked in. But I love it!!! And I love the results I've been seeing complaired to what I saw at Curves in the same amount of time. I don't think of it as being a diet, just as a healthier lifestyle. If I want a piece of pizza, I have a piece! But not the whole pizza like in the old days. This site has really helped me out! Wish all the luck to you! Feel free to add me!!! Love the profile pic! She's on my fav t shirt!

You can buy a bunch of $10 work out videos. Jillian Michaels has some great ones that are each about $9.99 and supposedly they work wonders! I'm about to buy my first one. Ones I hear raves about are the 30 Day Shred and No More Trouble Zones. They're short and are cardio and weights so you'll build muscle while burning fat which is what you want!!

Definitely just start walking. Any kind of movement you don't regularly do is great and will help you lose weight.
  • Definitely start out slow. I approve of the walks in the evenings and looking into joining a gym. I'm confined to a dorm so i know that working out in a small space can be inconvenient. [I have the scars from where i kicked my bed to prove it.] I actually did this workout from exercise tv called dorm room workout that was designed for small spaces. It 's on their website [exercisetv.tv] for free. Just remember every little bit counts so even if you get up and march in place for 5minutes you're burning something. Me personally I like to dance around the room like a maniac:tongue:
