Dose anyone do Tai Chi and what do you think of it? Can it really help with pain? Can you lose weight doing it? and is it hard I have arthritis and I need to move .

    I practice it for the meditative aspects and energy balance.

    I've done martial arts for +20 years and spent some time with Tai Chi. It's a soft style art that will help with your balance and mobility. It helps alleviates joint pain because you're using them and strengthening your stability muscles while not becoming stagnant. As a form of weight loss? In the beginning maybe a little if the forms are challenging to you, but after a while not so much since you're not expending too much energy.

    I think yoga is more challenging and offers the same benefits.

    I used to have cancer in my knee and do have arthritis there. I stretch every day and that helps a lot especially on those cold damp days.

    I practice Tai Chi, I got into it this year and it is something I will continue

    I know several people with RA who do Tai Chi.

    It is non impact and gets you moving.
