Kaeng Raeng Raw Vegan Detox

Have any of you tried this? I'm not vegan but it seemed like the healthier of the detox I found. There is so much protein and fiber, I never went hungry. Anyone had a bad experience? I haven't found a bad review yet.

Wouldn't it be easier, and more filling, to just eat a raw vegan diet for whatever time period the Kaeng Raeng cleanse is supposed to run? The ingredients list is pretty much my every day way of life, but I get to chew my food.

One serving of Kaeng Raeng makes 24-32 fl oz and contains: (drink 3 per day)

    Only 200 calories!

-1 oz of raw, freeze-dried fruit powder -- that's the equivalent of 8 oz of fresh fruit per serving! No preservatives, no chemicals, just fruit, straight from the ground, freeze dried for convenience.

-19 grams of lean non-genetically modified soy protein (or 15g of pea protein for our soy free version)

-Daily vitamins including B-12 and Vitamin C

-2 billion CFUs of vegan L. Acidophilus probiotics to bolster your immune system and improve digestion

-Full serving of vegetable fiber (safe for daily use)

-No artificial colors, flavors, or sweeteners

    -No caffeine, laxatives, or stimulants

    -No animal products or peanuts

-No preservatives or fillers - what you see is what you get!

The more important question is, Why do you need to detox? Are your liver, kidneys, and bowels not functioning? And if not, how are you still alive?

I thought about that. I chose to purchase the detox because I couldn't but that much food for that price. I also wanted to be certain I got the protein, etc. that I need. It was simply easier.

Also, I'm not very familiar with a raw vegan diet. I didn't have to do anything but mix a drink 3 times a day.

    Rigger,

I chose to detox because I wanted to physically and mentally cleanse myself of the bad choices I made over the past two years.
BTW, your comment is a little uncalled for.

There is no need to purchase products to cleanse yourself because the body does it, which is why we poop and pee.

The mix looks pretty healthy, and if you want to use it as sort of a "baptism" physically and mentally into healthier eating habits, well there's really nothing that can be said against that. Go for it. It's one of the few pre-packaged plans I've seen that aren't grossly negligent. Just make sure you're getting a little extra protein on the side and some fats to be able to metabolize fat-soluble vitamins.

Thanks, Jayjay. I thought it looked fairly solid. I appreciate your comments.
  • I never have been a fan of cleansers but for a cheap vegan meal check out Raw Meal...it's not the best tasting stuff at first but your palate will adjust. It's full of 34g of protein and 16g of fiber. Good luck.

So it's some sort of dietary baptismal? Seems legit.

As for that comment being "uncalled for" I don't see how, your organs do all the cleansing your body needs, therefore, it's a legitimate question.
