Ideal gym setup

So, at my work, we have to buy new equipment to comply with insurance stuff. IIRC, our operating budget is around $40k. Currently we have crappy, bulky weight machines, and even crappier stair stepper and bike thingy. We are brainstorming for how to re-do the room. All of us in the office are excited to be able to get into shape!

Any thoughts? For the record, it is an apartment complex fitness area. We are considering a TV/Stereo system to do group fitness videos for sure. Everything else is up in the air. Our company doesn't care what we have, but it does have to have the same value as the equipment that is in there now when it was new.

I vote for a pull up bar, an apparatus to do leg lifts, lots of free weights, dumbbells, floor mats and benches,

That's what I would want anyways.

Olympic Barbells, weights, and a squat rack!

Oh and a bench. Gotta have a bench.

The olympic plates you buy should be circular, not hexagon or octagon shaped. I would do a power rack but recognize that it will be idle 99% of the time unless someone is curling in it... ;)

I manage to get by with a squat rack, Oly bar & plates, and a flat bench.

Some cardio equipment is nice. A rower, and a stationary cycle.
