So I'm starting to get a cold (the whole sore throat thing etc etc) and it's been this way for a few days and I weighed myself this morning out of curiosity and I noticed I gained 1lb from the last time I weighed myself (which was Saturday or Sunday I believe)
I've been eating in my calories and walking almost every night so I was a bit shocked. My question; Can illnesses cause misleading information? Or could this just be me calculating something wrong?

A single pound is just normal bodily fluctuations, IMO. Could be any number of things - salt intake, TOM for females, constipation, sore muscles, etc.0

I was sick last week and didn't work out for like 5 days-- when I weighed I was up 2 lbs and yesterday was my first day back and today I was back down.-- it happens0
