Is skin yellow/green and sickly looking from my diet?

Hey!
I try to eat a pretty healthy diet but for some reason my skin tone is really bad lately and slightly yellow and greenish. I normally have an olive skin tone and I don't know what's caused this.
Can certain foods contribute to this? I do eat a lot of red bell peppers, tomatoes, celery, and lettuce. I also eat chicken, fish, nuts, greek yogurt, bananas, grapefruit, berries, sweet potatoes, winter squash, green beans, onions, and a variety of fruits and vegetables.
Or have I developed some sort of problem with my thyroid or digestion? Or am I deficient in a certain nutrient or vitamin? Also could it be my lack of sun since I'm only outside for 10-15 minutes a day?
Any advice or help would be great, I feel like my friends and family all think I look sickly even though I eat a healthy diet. And at least I know it's not jaundice or a serious condition since I went to the doctor a while ago. Thanks!

I haven't experienced anything like it. I have no idea whether it could be from your diet, but have you tried going to your doctor? He can do some tests and make sure everything is OK with you.0

sounds like a doctor question to me...0

It sounds like an iron deficiency. Greenish skin is usually a sign of anemia. Nothing you listed is a good source of iron. Try replacing your lettuce with spinach and your green beans with lentils. Iron is most commonly found in red meat, egg yolks, lentils, mollusks (like scallops), dried fruit and dark leafy vegetables. Also in liver and giblets if you like the flavor of blood organs.0

If your skin is turning yellow your liver could be dying. Go see a doctor ASAP.0

Please go see your doctor. A number of things could cause this, from the very simple to the very complex. This is no question for an online forum as we are NOT your medical provider, don't know your history, and can not evaluate you.0

Thanks and yeah I scheduled an appointment with my doctor and a dietician too. And I possibly could have anemia or some sort of iron deficiency since I don't really eat grains, bread, or any source of whole grains besides oatmeal.
Also I do eat dark green leafy vegetables and spinach but I usually overcook my food so I wonder is that destroys all the nutrients in meat and vegetables.0 -
Sounds like jaundice, something's going on with your liver.
Please see your doctor!0 -
Don't let everyone scare you... but I agree, go see your doc. It's probably nothing, but better to find out whats up and get going treating it.
If you're a carrot binge-eater, by the way, that can change your skin color. Happened a bit to me once during a rabbit phase.0 -

Please don't diagnose over the Internet. I'm glad you have a doctors appointment OP.0 -
Best of luck to you, please report back to us if you're comfortable with sharing what the doctor tells you.0

Eating a lot of carrots and sweet potatoes turned both my children orange (temporarily) when they were babies, but they didn't look sickly.
Grains aren't going to help you if you have an iron deficiency.
Yeah, definitely a doctor question.0 -
How do you feel other than noticing the color change? Also do your eyes or the floor of your mouth have a similar yellow tinge? Yellow coloration in any or all of these areas is common to jaundice which is build up the products released from breaking down your red blood cells. It is harmless in and of itself but it usually signals liver dysfunction, which can be a problem. So like most people have said, err on the side of caution and go see your doc0
