Applesauce for sugar in cookies

I have a modified pumpkin oatmeal chocolate chip cookie recipe where I used applesauce and more pumpkin in place of the oil, but today I wanted to lower the sugar so I used only pumpkin for the oil and applesauce for half the sugar. It was way thinner than usual (due to the added liquid) so I used whole wheat flour and it worked great. Here is the nutrition info for my already modified recipe and the info for the further modified recipe.

cal carb fiber protein iron fat sugar
97 16 1 1 2 2 10 (applesauce for oil)
76 14 2 2 5 2 6 (applesauce for 1/2 sugar and pumpkin for oil using whole wheat flour)

These are definitely not the sweetest cookies, but the texture is great, and they have chocolate chips in them so they aren't too boring or "healthy" tasting.
