I am new to these forums lol. I literally had my first post a few minutes ago on a topic about "Binging". (Great start I know) So I figured why not go ahead and say Hi to you guys ![:) :)](https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/resources/emoji/smile.png)
The main reason I got involved in the site was primarily because I had not had a job for several years and losing weight was pretty easy because I could control my schedule. That all changed once I did get a job and it had erratic hours at times which kind of sent my body in shock and my weight fluctuated but I was still within 10 pounds of my lowest weight ever so even when I did binge I just couldn't let myself get too out of control.
Anyway thanks for letting me blog and good to see you guys!

Welcome to the community!
Coincidentally, being unemployed was what made it harder for me to control my weight; I suddenly found myself with hours of free time, with free access to the refrigerator. I realized one day I was starting to eat not because I was hungry, but because food was tasty and only 20 feet away from me. I've lost 9 pounds since that realization but still have at least 12 more to go before I'll be content, and probably another 10 beyond that before I'll be "happy."0 -

I totally understand where you are coming from and in a sense maybe your house is like my workplace since I currently work as a Dept. Manager at Walmart in the Grocery section lol. Food is all around me and I would have been better lots of nights just leaving without buying anything.
Just know that you are not alone because I clearly binge when due to emotional eating except a lot of times that emotion is boredom because I am just waiting for the next day to get here, so it is all about keeping my hands busy with something else. Nice meeting you!0
