Can anyone recommend a good food scale. What options should I look for?

I don't have an answer for you, but am interested in hearing what others say. I have been wanting to buy one myself...0

It really is all about personal preference.
I bought a 60$ starfrit one on sale for 20$...
It has oz and grams, lbs and kg (can toggle between to two)
It weighs up to 11lbs
Has a tare/zero button so when I put a plate on it turn it on, it weighs to 0 grams, I add my chicken hit the zero button, it goes back to zero I add my veggies...that way no math involved.
those I think are the key functions....gram/oz measurments, make sure it goes high enough, and has a zero function.0 -
I bought this on Amazon and love it!!! Normally more than I would spend on a scale but like I said I love it!

Ive used this scale for almost a year now, it works great, is 100% accurate, and its only $16.
It might be the best $16 ive spent in my life, measuring food is important if you are looking to gain or lose weight0 -
Mine was a medium cheapie from Wal-Mart. Bout 25 bucks. Needs to be digital with grams for sure.0

I purchased a Taylor Scale from Target for approximately $24. It measures in different units, is very accurate, and doesn't take a lot of room on the counter. Since I would assume there are different models, mine is small, gray in color and has a round glass flat top for placing your items on. Just flipped mine over and it is model 3842-21.0

Really glad to hear this, because I ordered it the other day
How do you know though it's still 100% accurate? Are you checking the calibration in any way? Just curious because I would like to have a way to check it from time to time but have no idea how.0 -
39.99 and I love the circular glass plate on top..looks pretty on the counter

I have a 20.00 starfrit scale that I have been using for about 4 years. For me as long as I can zero/tare the balance with my dishes, and measure in grams I am good. you don't need to spend 60.00 on one.0

I just got one last week. It is awesome I don't know why I never had one before. I just went to target and picked one out. They all pretty much had the same features... I got the staineless steel one. It goes up to 11 pounds and you can do it in grams and ounces0

OP, for a recommendation, get any digital scale with a tare button and that measures both grams and ounces. You shouldn't have to spend more than $15-20.0 -

Smart! Thanks a lot!0 -
I just bought a Cuisinart digital scale. It had good reviews on amazon
I ended up paying $50 from a local store (it was the only one they had) and also only 10 dollars more then amazon anyways.0 -
