I know that to burn fat you need to work out around 65% intensity, which for me is a heart rate of 126. I go to the gym 5-6 days a week, and I have always made as much use out of that time as I could, and emphasizing on the amount of calories burned which is at 85% level or above, and I am wondering if this is the reason my weigh loss is slower than it should be. Do you notice a difference? I've seen it written on some gym equipment, but I always figured it's calories in vs calories out so I tried to burn as many as I could.

What makes you think your weight loss is "slower" than in should be?
The only thing that changes in the "fat burning" zone is the proportion of energy from fats compared to sugars and other sources in the body. You have the choice of maximizing calories burned per minute (max effort ), maximizing the proportion of calories used coming from fat by changing the intensity level ( lower intensity for longer duration), or combining the two (intervals).
