Has anyone tried two-a-days?

Hey Guys!
Question for you all. Along with my healthy diet and calorie-counting, I do weights 3x week with a trainer and cardio on the elliptical for an hour 5x a week.
My trainer mentioned to me that if I tried two-a-days on my non-weight training days (meaning I do an hour of cardio in the morning and another hour of cardio at night), I'd get in bikini-ready shape by March. He just mentioned it, and said if I'd rather stay with what I'm doing, I WILL get in shape, probably by summer.
I don't have a lot to lose, just replacing fat with muscle.
I'm sure he's right but I don't know if all that extra work and time is worth it. However, it WOULD be nice to get to my goal faster and then just maintain.
What do you guys think? Does anyone do two-a-days and does it make a huge difference? I really hate doing cardio so it sounds like my idea of torture! haha

That sounds lie overkill cardio and possibly overuse injury.
I mean short term it would be ok, but I would just stick to once a day and do 2 of those cardio sessions at a hiit/interval format.0 -
When I first started here, I worked out 3xdaily most weekdays. Mornings were dvds (like 30 DS), mid mornings were incline walks on treadmill, and afternoons were runs or cardio+weight machines. Weekends were long runs and more dvds. Most of my workouts were short 10-30 minutes (besides long runs and one 1 hour dvd). I lost pretty quickly, retained lbm, and have been maintaining for several months now. I still workout 2xdaily sometimes.0
