I have seen the commercials that stress can make your body hold on to fat and you lose weight slower, but if you buy this fancy bottle of pills you will have sunshine and fat loss and be a size zero in a month. Now--I'm not on here to ask if those pills work. I realize there is no magic pill to lose weight. I'm just curious--is there truth to the stress factor????

    From a webmd article:

"While the immediate . . . response to acute stress can be a temporary loss of appetite, more and more we are coming to recognize that for some people, chronic stress can be tied to an increase in appetite -- and stress-induced weight gain," says Elissa Epel, PhD, an assistant professor in the department of psychiatry at the University of California at San Francisco."
