Doing it the healthy way - for the first time

I don't have as much as some of you to lose (36lbs) but I guess I just feel proud, for the first time in god knows how long I had my first day of eating "normally" I know this isn't going to be a big thing for some of you but for me it's massive.
I didn't binge
I didn't fast
I didn't restrict
I ate a somewhat normal amount of normal foods, I had a couple snacks, I had a treat, and I didn't feel guilty nor did eating lead to a binge. This is massive for me and I think I'm finally at a stage where I'm thinking to myself that you know what, who cares if it takes 10 times as long, I'm going to change the way I eat permanently and for the better rather than hating who I see in the Mirror and going on a mad diet or slipping up once and binging all day.
Sorry to ramble on but I feel amazing right now.
So point of the post being, I'd love some friends who, like me, have struggled with disordered eating, and are ready to try do this properly once and for all, to eat how you plan to eat for the rest of your life.
I know I am ;D

Hey, congratulations on a good start! I haven't suffered from EDs, just the slow creep upwards to the tune of about half a pound every month from 1996 to 2008, but feel free to add me if you want.0

Hey!
I can totally relate! I'm such an emotional eater I can never be just "Normal" I have explored so many diets and types of food but in the end I really need to learn to eat more veggies!
Adding you!0 -
That's great!! One day at a time! I struggle with fasting and binging for as long as I can remember and am working really hard to stop the cycle and be good to myself. We can help each other. Adding you!0

I'm adding you! I was bulemic and overexercised for 5 years. I'm "recovered" now but I still have hard days!0

I'm in the same boat! I used to seriously restrict myself, and went down a horrible road for a while. Binging and purging, restriction, and crazy hours of exercise.
For the first time I'm doing this right. I still feel the slip every now and then, and feel the urge to restrict, but it's not happening this time! I still freak a bit when my calories go over 1000, but I'm doing better. Before it used to be 500-800 I'd freak. At the same time, It feels great listening to my body when it's hungry and not going into a full out binge. I totally feel you on this healthy normal eating thing.
Would love anyone who delt/deals with similar things to add me!0
