Hi,
I'm Sarah, 38. 5'5 and got about 35lbs to lose to get to something resembling an ideal weight for my height and body frame. My main motivation for finally getting to grips with the flab is due to a change in career. I'm training to be a massage therapist and had no idea just how physically demanding it would be so I need to get in shape to be able to do well at this.
It would be good to add some UK people who have a similar goal weight-loss wise, just because of the food thing. A lot of the health and weight-loss food available in the US isn't over here unless you buy from specialist shops or online for LOTS of money :'-(
I'd hopefully be logging in here every day, so I will gladly support you in your journey. Good luck everyone

Hi, Sarah,
I'm down on the South Coast... have been on MFP for just over 2 years, did really well my first year, but have been on a bit of a plateau since, and still have about 40 lbs to go to get down into the healthy BMI so am setting myself walk/jogging challenges through the year again... never having done anything like this in all my long years. My first is coming up in about 4 weeks now, a 15 mile walk/run cross-country... did it last year, and came last, so want to do better this year!!
So have a look at my profile, and send a friend request if it will be of any help. I log on daily and usually scroll down one screen trying to make encouraging comments on anyone who happens to have logged on within an hour or two of my log-on.
Good luck!0 -
Hi florawanda,
Thank you for your reply I love your profile! Your current profile photo is fab, you look so happy and proud, well done on what you've achieved so far xx
I'll fill in my profile information over the weekend, it's interesting to think back about the battle with the weight and how it progressed :-/
I've sent a request to you, thanks again

Yep I’m from the UK and have 12lb to got (out of 44) I’m also losing for my job because I want to ride racehorses and you have to be skinny and VERY fit to do this.
Good luck with your goal I’ll send a request.0 -

Hi - I am in the Midlands. I joined last year and have not stuck to it for a long while. Got half a stone to lose. I follow Jason Vales plans and they really work quickly, if you don't mind juicing a lot! I can eat a lot and on the plan, I barely feel hungry - plus you're getting more than 5 a day with no processed food at all. Good luck!!0

I've found 2 groups of Fellow brits: team UK and British People. Join those for important discussions on shopping lists and skinny cow ice cream.0 -

I'm 36 and down south. I'm not sure how much weight I want to lose yet, as currently playing it by ear, but certainly a minimum of 5 kg more to go at the moment. I run around a lot.
Feel free to add me. I will say though, there is zero need whatsoever for you to be eating special diet foods etc imported from the US, or anywhere else for that matter.0 -
Hey, I'm Jade 21 years old 5"3 and i have about 10pounds to lose. I live in the west part of UK sooo if any one wants to add feel free xx0

Hiya, I too have just joined based in the UK, Berkshire, and looking for some support on the long journey ahead - weight watcher like classes just don't work for me as I find they are always at the wrong time! I have between 50 - 75lbs to lose. I have tried a few different diets but haven't stuck to anything very well in the past but after not even recognising myself in a photo I have decided enough is enough and want to get to back to what I was before.0
