What I didn't figure out until this week.. water enhancers are horrible for you. I have been drinking a lot of it lately and have been feeling gross. this past week and a half I have had sore muscles, haven't lost an ounce and was really fatigued. Someone at work said that the water enhancers cause inflammation.. Ok so I googled this.. YIKES is all I can say. this stuff is horrible for you!!!. I quit using it 2 days ago and already can feel the difference in my body. Aches are gone, fatigue is gone... now on Monday when I weigh I'm sure I will be down I can just feel it.. So just a FYI for anyone else that didn't know the side effects of this stuff...

I like them too, but I only use a little. Just enough to give my water a little bit of flavor. How much were you using when you felt sick?0

The one called Mio is required to have a hazardous material label when being transported in bulk, when sodas do not. I think that say enough right there.0

I live in Mexico and the whole world knows that we have really bad water. Since I don't want to buy into the bottled water fad, I boil my water. This gives it even a worse taste. That is why I use between 1/3 to half the amount of a product called " Clight " ( the same as Crystal Light ).
I should add that I have rampant systemic Lupus since 2011 as well as RA since childhood . Both are inflammation based auto immune diseases. After consulting with a specialist here in Mexico City and another one in Houston, I have found out that fast and easy blanket rules cannot be made when it comes to the food we ingest. I am perfectly fine with this water enhancer, but my inflammation gets much worse when I eat any kind of sugar or natural sweetener.
I strongly believe that each person has to figure out what works for them and what ingredients are horrible for them or not. Congratulations on finding out what works for you !
ETA. I also have lost a bit over 45 pounds since April, 2013.0
