Fruit and Veggie Fasting

Anybody have any experience with this as a "cleanse" for a day? I have been reading about fruit and veggie flushes, and I wondered if they had any benefits even if done for just one day.
I might attempt tomorrow, but add in a hard boiled egg in the morning for some protein.

One day of eating only fruits and veggies will neither hurt nor harm you. There is nothing to "cleanse" that your liver doesn't already do on a regular basis. But one day isn't enough to do any real damage, either.0

You might lose some weight from the amount of time you'd be spending in the bathroom, depending on how sensitive your stomach is...0

Eat the whole fruit so you get the fiber and chewing.0

What possible benefits are you going to get from just eating fruits/vegs vs. eating a balanced diet of whole grains, fruits, veggies, healthy fats, and protein? Your body needs fats and proteins to survive. If you want to stop eating crap, stop eating it. Doing a "cleanse" is unnecessary. Let your liver and kidneys serve their purpose and eat a balanced diet.
For what it's worth, this has been discussed many times already on the numerous juice cleansing threads here.0 -
I don't know?
I made this topic to get these questions answered.
I'm not pretending like I think it's going to work.0 -
There are lots of people that eat fruit and veggies (in the raw form and some even cooked although some nutrients are lost then)
but yeah you'd have to do it over a day to get the benefits
and also to people making toilet jokes, if you eat ripe fruit your digestion will thank you for it, and you won't spend all your time in the toilet, you'll have a very healthy bowel movement once your body adjusts.0
