Great cheesy snack

My husband has a great recipe he has come up with that I love to snack on so I thought I'd share. 35 calories.

Cheese crisps:

Take a tablespoon or so of shredded cheese (Mexican blend, cheddar, havarti, whatever you have). Drop it in a hot frying pan (plain teflon or regular pan sprayed with pan).

Sprinkle on some sliced almonds - a teaspoon or so.

Sprinkle on a little more cheese to cover the almonds.

Wait until it melts a little.

Flip to brown edges.

Let cool.

They are really delicious - all cheese and protein. Few calories. Two or three are incredibly satisfying and a great snack with a martini, glass of wine, or bubbly water. Tastier, more nutritious and satisfying, and lower cal than a bowl of chips.

If you want to get really fancy, while they're hot you can roll them into cones and put a filling in them. But that's for parties.
