I've always wanted to eat hot dogs in front of the campfire with my friends but I've always been completely turned off by what is in them.

I found a great corn dog recipe yesterday and I really want to try it so this is my recipe for homemade hot dogs so I can make this.

1 lb ground beef
1 lb ground turkey
2 tbsp. salt
2 tbsp. pepper
2 tbsp. onion powder
2 tbsp. garlic powder
2 tbsp coriander
(If it doesn't stick together well enough I may add an egg, probably start with just an egg white)

Mix it all together and form into dogs. At this point I would bread them for corn dogs and bake or deep fry.

***I know you can buy hot dog casings at the butcher here in town so if you want a hot dog on a bun, get some casings from a butcher. If they don't come with instructions, just ask the butcher, you may have to boil them.***

If you have any changes you think would be good, or spices to add, let me know.
