Dumb question about little exercises

Ok this is a confusing question. I have been doing little exercise throughout the day like push ups, squats, jumping jacks, etc. I do them multiple times an hour instead of doing one 20-30 minute workout video. My question is do you all think this would be just as good as doing a workout video or better or worse? On another note when I do these exercises I do get my heart rate up each time but I do not have a HRM to keep track it.

I think that is a good way to get hurt. Before exercising you need to warm up- to get the blood flowing so you don't get injured I guess if youre moving around a lot and then busting out some exercises it would be okay0

I do move around a lot. I have a toddler I chase around the house a lot plus I'm always up doing something around the house.0

I find that when I do exercise in little bits I never get my heart rate up high enough. My goal is to get my heart rate in the aerobic zone and have it there for 20 minutes and even when doing something as vigorous as jumping jacks it takes several minutes to get from resting heart rate to 130+ . So for me it is more efficient to do one longer block of exercise to meet my goals. What are your goals from your exercises?0

My goals for these little exercises I have been doing is that every few minutes I spend doing something, that is another calorie burned even if it is a few they eventually add up. I will do 60 seconds of many different exercises. I have a toddler and as of now both me and my husband are laid off so it is very hard to get a good long workout in. (Husband likes for me to spend all my time with him). I also have this 7 minute workout app on my phone that I do multiple times throughout the day wherever I can squeeze them in.0

For me, splitting up calisthenics like that would be nowhere near as effective as doing them all at once .its much easier to do 5 pushups spread out 5 different times throughout the day than to do 25.pushups in a row
Also your hubby seriously can't be without you for 30 minutes ?!0
