Does your mom know how to use a computer?

Mine doesn't, she only knows Facebook. We directed her to Netflix once when she wanted to look up movies and 10 minutes later she's asking us why Google won't work... turns out she kept searching for "soup recipes" in the Netflix search bar lol

Finally she gets the soup recipe after we show her how to use Google, and we hear the printer running for the next five minutes before she shouts out "Why is there 500 soup recipes coming out?!?"

She also thinks a gif is a "small video with no sound" and she doesn't understand why it "keeps skipping"

Haha I love my mom but she really doesn't understand technology

my mum and dad are far more computer savvy than me lol, but my mother and father in laws are useless, my mother in law goes on facebook and updates her status wishing happy birthday without putting persons name (i'm presuming she thinks it's going on the persons timeline but you never know) and apparently she hasn't found the caps lock button cos everything is shouted, my father in law just goes on football forums though so harmless

If by "use" you mean manage to get a nasty trojan and not know how to fix it, then oh yeah, she totally knows how to use a computer.

Yes! She taught me how to torrent, i mean in legal purposes of course!
She doesn't know as much as me (it would be awkward if she did seeing as I'm a computer science major)
But she can use excel better than me haha! I always have to ring her up and ask how to use it

Haha no way you look young! Maybe my older sister, I'm already 20!

Lol my grandparents definitely can't use a computer, we showed them how to use google images once and they spent the next hour scrolling through images of the big dipper haha

Yes, she is actually pretty good with computers. She can install hardware and software on her own no problem.

This is because you're a crappy teacher.

She obviously needs more detailed instructions that she isn't getting.
I suggest that she consider taking a computer literacy course somewhere.

My mum's 59 and can use a computer, no problems. There are probably some things she doesn't know how to do, but she can do everything she needs to. She retired 2 years ago and used a computer for her job.

My mom is in her 60's and is hip and with it ;)

She can use a computer AND a smart phone... when she started texting my nephew who is 21 taught her all these little texting terms, I laughed all day when I got a text back from her that said OMG LOL ROFL I don't know why but it just struck me as so funny... she's pretty great. :)
