Green Tea& Herbal Tea

Do they both have the same effect?

  • Green tea is generally lumped in with herbal tea because it is an herbal tea. Tea, in general, has a wide range of benefits. It is a much healthier drink for you than sodas, sugary juices, or sugar- and cream-loaded coffee. Here are some general benefits of both black and herbal tea:

    Improves digestion
    Quenches thirst
    Removes flatulence
    Cools the body
    Acts as a diuretic
    Cleanses the body

    So drink up!!

Um... No?! (In reply to OP).

The tea plant is just one of the millions of herbs out there. so obviously each one has different effects on the body.
I guess both are legitimate means of hydration (unless you're brewing a herb you should only drink in very, very small quantities, or apply only externally lol) Green tea also has caffein, most herbal teas don't.

or are you asking if they can make you lose weight? Again that would depend on the herb and it would probably be water weight, but I am no expert there.

A cup of green tea is about 25mg of caffeine. Some herbal teas have none, some less, and black tea has almost double. That is the main difference for appetite suppression as far as I can tell. Although some people get hungrier when they consume caffeine.

I treat all teas like coffee - it's a beverage

No tea raises your metabolism or helps you lose weight. The only time a tea will "cleanse" you is if you buy the poop tea. Otherwise, our bodies cleanse themselves, which is why we poop and pee. If you enjoy the taste of tea OP, by all means drink it, but it is not magical. If you want to lose weight, you need a calorie deficit.
