It's that special time of the month for me and my muscles are SUPER sore from my workout I did a few days back (I've still been briskly walking since then). I'm hoping those two things may have caused me to show less of a loss?

I haven't cheated, been counting all calories, drinking water, eating fruits and veggies, lean proteins, etc. I've been exercising every day.

A loss is a loss, but I was hoping for at least 1-2 pounds!

If that "special time of the month" means what I think it does then you are probably retaining more water than usual.

That's definitely normal, and expect it to happen again. When you first start losing weight it tends to come off fairly quickly, but it soon evens out. You might find that you lose 3 lbs next week... or not... maybe you'll gain a pound. Weight loss doesn't happen linearly, it's more of an average over time kind of thing. Don't fret! Keep doing what you're doing :)

    Yes it does.

What sucks is I'm in a Biggest Loser contest at work and weigh-in is tomorrow. I think our contest allows for us to weigh in during the week (rather than the day we actually weighed in the first time). Perhaps I will wait until Friday.

And what sucks more is that I usually don't have that special time of month because of how I use my birth control pills. So I'm so disappointed to see it.

This is why I hate "The Biggest Loser." The goal here is sustainable and healthy change, not to take the weight off as rapidly as possible. And yes, weight loss isn't linear.
