Small NSV

So it's been almost exactly 2 years since I decided to change my life for the better. I've had a LOT of setbacks and a few times where I almost gave up completely and gained over 10 lbs back. Each time, all it took was one glimpse at that picture of me from before my reality check and I jumped back on with flying colors. I've lost about 52 lbs total and gone from 252 to 200. And lost over 50 inches from my whole body! I keep struggling to get below that 200 Mark. I can't wait for that day! I know I will get there eventually when my body is good and ready. I've gone from a size tight 22 jeans to a loose 14 and 3xl shirts to large. But my biggest NSV, the one I came here to tell is that for the first time since i can ever remember, I can fit a regular size bath towel all the way around my body! I can hop out of the shower and wrap a towel around me and walk around without any peekaboos! I was so excited when I realized this yesterday! I've always had to use oversize bath towels and before those fit, I used beach towels. I'm so happy I stumbled upon this site those two years ago. I love the before and afters. They are very inspiring. I can't wait to reach my goal and post me before and afters and hope that I can be the kind of inspiration that so many of you have been to me. Have a fantastic Super Bowl Sunday!

Congratulations! I too remember when that happened to me. My husband actually pointed it out! I think it really is all of these NSV (big and small) that keeps me going. They are reminders that we are succeeding. Don't give up girl, you got this!0

Awesome! Keep up the hard work! I noticed this big time because I swim at the student rec center, and nothing motivates you to loose weight like sharing a pool with the swim team.0

Congrats on the NSV!
You know, fortunately the mechanics of all the organs in your body are not smart enough to recognize the whole body weighs 200 pounds--each part is just contributing its part to your collective whole. So it cannot sense and know to STOP at 200 lb.
Push ahead and keep doing the same thing you did to lose 50+ and in due time you'll be able to lose however much more you want to.
Keep your head in the game and free of "if" and "but" and your ultimate success will be only a matter of "when".0
