Macros vs Insanity Diet

Hi everyone!
I'm sure there's plenty of posts on this in MFP but I can't seem to find one that relates best to me & my specific concerns... So here I go, I am 19 years old, 5'7" and 200 lbs. I am starting the Insanity program and I was wondering if it would be better for me to continue meeting my macros instead of counting calories or vice versa. I was meeting my macros & eating about 1700-1800 calories/day the Harvis Benedict Equation suggests I eat 2155 calories per day using the moderately active option for the equation. I am aware of the 40/40/20 macro ratio, but shouldn't I consume much less carbs to achieve maximum weight loss in the minimum amount of time? Should I continue my macros diet or follow the insanity calorie count plan? Should I lower my calorie count to 2000 calories/day, any tips/advice on how I can maximize my weight loss?
My daily meals consist of oatmeal, greek yogurt with almonds and blueberries (sometimes raisins depending on carb count), egg substitute + 1 egg for flavor with canadian bacon, whole wheat bread, honey maple turkey & alpine lace cheese sandwiches, relish & mustard tune with 2 tbsp of olive oil mayo, quinoa with protein (mostly chicken breast, turkey, tialpa), sweet potato, white rice sometimes, veggies & leafy greens. I drink mostly water & fat free milk sometimes for breakfast, I also prepare my protein shakes with milk. Also when is the best time to drink my protein shake before or after my workouts? Can I drink 2 protein shakes/day (mid-morning & mid-afternoon snack)?
Any tips/advice would be really helpful. I am sort of new to MFP, dieting & definitely new to doing the Insanity workout plan. Thank you!

The only thing you need to lose weight is a calorie deficit. You do not need to reduce carbs or eliminate any kind of food to lose weight, you just need a deficit.
