activity level fluctuation

Hey everyone, my activity level is set to lightly active because I am mostly on my feet on work days. But not on weekends. Does the kcal allowance take this into account or should I subtract the ca. 200 kcal that I am burning less on weekends from my daily allowance?

My opinion is that it pretty much evens out, since you are on your feet 5 days a week. I teach at at community college, and am on my feet about half and half, depending on the day and which classes I teach. And I am set at lightly active. But this is something you can try, and see what happens.0

I think the best use of the activity level is to adjust the basal calorie estimate to what fits your body. That said less than 5000 steps is sedentary (for this site). That's 2.5 miles of walking.
See if you maintain on that level. If you go up, drop it. If you do stick. If you lose, up it.0
