Fears!

We all have our fears, for some it's spiders, the dark or heights. Then there's the smaller ones, like opening our eyes underwater, being seen in public without makeup.

I've found, that most fears can be pushed through if you try hard enough, and usually, I can pinpoint the reason for the fear.

One for me is ladders - I'm generally OK with heights (as in can sit on edge of a cliff without a problem), just not ladders. I think it's my own strength I don't trust, I don't believe I can hold myself there with just my arms if I have to. I have been forcing myself to just do it, and also crossing the monkey bars at the park and trying to get a pull up done on the gym rings at home - I figure the more I trust my upper body strength, the less of a problem I'll have with ladders and the like.

Interested to hear other people's fears, and stories - do you know the origin of your fear (s), how did you or are you getting through it? Are you happy to just live with it or do you want to face it?

Got some. Oddly, even though I am a trainer and do workshops and seminars all the time, I HATE public speaking.

I have also become more afraid of heights and drowning as I have gotten older. Weird.
