Using coconut oil for beauty and calories?

This may be a dumb question, but I use coconut oil for moisturizing. Someone once told me that if you put something on your skin, like sunscreen, it gets absorbed into the blood stream. Do the calories in the coconut oil end up being calories "consumed", or am I just over thinking this and the calories never really make it to my metabolism?
Thanks!
Thanks!

While there's some truth to the fact that things that are absorbed into the skin hit the bloodstream, I can't even begin to imagine it's in any way a significant effect on your calories unless you literally bathe in a tub of coconut oil daily.0

I use coconut oil daily and also oil pull with it, I have not gained any weight at all since I have been using it (aprox 2 months) I do not think even if it is absorbed into your bloodstream that it would have any affect on your weight (even if you bathed in it) :laugh:0

Not everything that is absorbed into the skin makes it to the bloodstream.Things that are absorbed directly into the bloodstream do not generally contain calories. Your other cosmetics do not have calories and sunscreen is not just floating around in your skin.
