Protein...

I always thought I ate a pretty reasonable, balanced diet--just too much of everything!--but I don't seem to be able to get enough protein according to MFP. Today I had eggs for lunch, steak for dinner, Greek yogurt and a larabar nut bar as snacks, yogurt for breakfast, and it's still not enough according to MFP (although it's more than I'd normally consume and I haven't starved to death and am in fact quite muscular and strong.) Whey powder and the like are just not happening, so don't suggest them; I'm a foodie, so I want to do this with real food. :-)
Maybe my problem is that I've spent most of my adult life eating lots of veggies and carbs and treating meat as a condiment, which was the standard nutritional advice you heard for decades?

Just adjust the ratio of protein and carbs to favor protein. I rarely hit my protein goals as eating ~1lb a chicken a day is just ick.0
