Hey y'all, just wondering if any of you who have recently lost weight experienced fingernails turning blue! My hands aren't numb or tingly or cold, just I was sitting at home and my fingernails were blue..... Weird side effect, or some other medical condition?

Could be cyanosis, which means a lack of circulating oxygen in the red blood cells. I would contact a doctor.

Blue fingernails is a sign of lack of circulation and oxygen flow in your hands. Runner's sometimes get blue/black toenails, which is often a sign that they tied their shoes too tight or their shoes are too small. It being in your hands, I would defenately keep an eye on them and if they don't return back to pinkish then see a doctor.

Look up Raynaud's phenomenon. It's actually pretty common in women and is totally harmless.
