Any one used the foam rollers to role out sore muscles - was it useful?

  • I used it and was helpful a lot.
  • I use mine after running and it helps to massage the muscles. Does hurt though, so no pain no gain!
  • I agree with above^ but good to use before exercise as well

I just recently discovered it and love it. The sore muscle relief is almost instant after I'm done (although it's torture while I'm doing it).

Yep. Love them! I've even used rolling pins. Haha! I use a hard medicine ball for my glutes. They seem to do better for getting the knots out there and in my hips.

I hadn't foam rolled in well over a year since switching from a nice gym to a crappy foam roller-less one. I just purchased my own boy have I missed it. Hurts like hell using it, especially on the IT band, but I feel better afterward.
