strength training + "junk" food

For body recomp, Im doing weight training and eating 1,450 calories a day according to TDEE calculations (for weight loss, Im supposed to eat that much it says). Does eating junk food under that calorie requirement backfire in this process?
Cuz Ive been reading a lot of posts where people have been eating junk food under their caloric requirement and still nearing goal weight.

I eat all the food and lift weights and I am still having great progress not only with weight loss but strength gains as well.
Since I've started here I have lost 8% BF....over 40lbs and can lift substainial weight on my lifts.0 -
