Help!

I've hit a wall....hard...and not just because I have stopped losing, but I am gaining. I've lost my motivation. I took a new position at work and I'm putting over 50 hours a week in at the office. Add grad school and 3 kids to that. I'm stressed and I am turning to food. I haven't had time for the gym, not if I want to spend any time with my family, so I beat myself up daily over that. I am supposed to be training for a half marathon in May. I feel like crap....bloated, irritable, my clothes don't fit like I am used to them fitting, and my digestive track is out of sorts because I am grabbing food that I normally wouldn't and know I shouldn't eat.

I need help pulling myself together and getting back on track. :(

Sorry but no one can motivate you to do what you need to do to lose that last 10lbs. You either want it or you don't.

Easy fixes are...working out on lunch break, preplanning intake on the weekends, prepacking lunches. Turn to exercise for Stress relief, have healthy snacks at hand when you can't exercise...but really you can do exercise in your office...I would just close my door and do some squats while on a conference call.

Only you can do what you need to do...

I feel your pain. I have not one, but two office jobs. My main job is at a Level I trauma hospital in Kansas as an EMS Emergency Communications Operator. My part-time job is a 911 dispatcher.
Did you ever take any pictures when originally started your journey? When you were your heaviest and when you got some weight down? My first suggestion would be to simply reflect back on why you started the journey to beging with and embrace the accomplishments you have made thus far.
The other thing I would consider is take each and every advantage you possibly can at work to help with your weight. Don't be sucked into the idea that the gym is the ONLY place you can exercise. I walk the interior perimeter of the hospital on the second floor a few times during my shift. I don't have the luxury at my 911 job, HOWEVER, the desks that the dispatch consoles and monitors sit on have hydraulics that you can engage to raise or lower, so a couple times during the shift, I will raise the console so I am standing and I do a few twists and bends and anything else I can think of. Whatever it takes, JUST DO IT!

Understand your plight. I will be working 50 or more/ week for the next 8 to 10 weeks. I did a huge shopping for non-perishables so I don't have to spend too much time shopping. On Sunday I bought and roasted 2 large chickens. That should give me lunch and dinner for 3 days. I also have ribs which I will cook off tomorrow morning for another day of food. Planning helps.

You have worked hard so dont give up now! Pack some healthy lunches and snacks to take to work. You can do this on the weekend for the whole week if you are busy durring the week. Try to get some exercise in with family time, I am sure you kids love a good game of tag! If you do not get compensated to do so then don't work more than 40 hours a week and just try to be as productive as you can while you are there. Best of luck!
